25, in the books!

Isaac’s VEPTR surgery was completed successfully last week, it took about 6 hours (an eternity when you are waiting in the waiting room!). He now has a rod placed along the right side of his right ribcage, they had to cut apart 5 ribs that were fused and go through a lot of muscle and tissue, so the pain is intense.
Because he is amazing, he was up and taking tiny steps the day after surgery! He wowed everybody with his recovery, and was ultimately kept in the hospital until Saturday because of a stinking drain in his back.
Today the drain was removed and our superman has been cleared to fly home tomorrow!
For the first time in all of his jet setting we will be utilizing the assistance of the airline with a wheelchair and escort, his pain is just too intense at this point.
Isaac is SUPER excited to get home, and is proving to be a ton of fun with all of the drugs he’s using to stay comfortable 🙂
Once again, we are lucky and so very proud of this incredible boy.
